(DAYTON, OHIO)… Stick the key in the ignition and drive to a bright future with the Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA). The agency is hiring for numerous positions, including bus drivers, and will offer open interviews to immediately fill vacancies via a career fair on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley building at 660 S. Main St., Dayton.
Drivers with Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL) licenses and those without are encouraged to attend. No commercial driving experience is necessary. The RTA’s training program will provide new hires with the essential skills needed to succeed on the job as a bus driver. The RTA is looking for people with great customer service skills who enjoy working with the public.
The starting wage for RTA drivers with a CDL is $16.55 per hour and the starting wage for drivers without a CDL is $14.48 per hour. RTA offers full-time local work, paid time off, state retirement, medical and dental insurance. RTA employees also have 24/7 access to our fitness centers.
Candidates are not required to bring anything to the career fair, though a resume is helpful.
