(DAYTON, OHIO)… The Greater Dayton RTA is extending the hours of its Flyer service on June 11, 2022, to ensure the more than 3,000 University of Dayton (UD) alumni expected to descend upon Dayton can enjoy the full UD student experience.
The Flyer will operate from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Saturday, June 11. The Flyer is the RTA’s shuttle that provides free, fast connections for thousands of workers and students between downtown Dayton and the UD Campus. The Flyer runs every ten minutes, with several buses circulating on the route.
The Flyer is frequently used by UD students to get to and from the Arcade Innovation Hub at the Dayton Arcade. By extending the hours of The Flyer service, alumni will be able to experience current campus life. Alumni will also be treated to tours of the Dayton Arcade and given information about local businesses and entertainment options downtown.
"The Flyer has become an integral part of campus life for students," said University of Dayton President Eric F. Spina. "In addition to classes in The Hub at the Arcade, students use Flyer to connect with recreation, music and arts venues, as well as the great dining choices downtown. We are so excited our alumni will have the opportunity to experience how the Flyer has extended and enriched campus life for our students."
