RTA adjusts routes beginning April 5

(DAYTON, OHIO) … The Greater Dayton RTA periodically adjusts bus service in response to the needs of customers, communities, and businesses. A service change affecting several routes will begin Sunday, April 5.

Route 1: Service to Millet Hall will be eliminated on all eastbound trips in order to implement NexGen trolley service back to Route 1. Service will continue to the Wright State University Student Union. Trip times will be adjusted by 1-10 minutes on all weekday westbound trips from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Trip times will be adjusted by 1-8 minutes on all weekday eastbound trips. All trip times on Saturday and Sunday will be adjusted by 1-5 minutes.

Route 2: Trip times at 3rd and Broadway will be adjusted by 1-5 minutes on all weekday westbound trips from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

Route 8: Trip times between Salem and Catalpa and Wright Stop Plaza will be adjusted by 1-3 minutes on all weekday northbound trips from 6:30 a.m. to 1:10 a.m.

Route 14: Trip times between Free Pike and Olive and the Northwest Transit Center will be adjusted by 1-2 minutes on all weekday southbound trips from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Route X5: Trip times on Saturday southbound service to the South Transit Center will be adjusted by two minutes from 9:50 a.m. to 5:52 p.m. Trip times on Saturday northbound service to Innovation and Abbey will be adjusted by two minutes all day.

Route 43: Weekday northbound trips will be added at 9:22 p.m. and 10:33 p.m. to service the Crocs and Innovative Plastic Molders facilities. Sunday northbound trip times at the Chewy facility will be adjusted to 5:38 p.m. and 6:59 p.m.

Route 65: Service will be added to Cornell Dr. for the new senior facility. Additional time will be added at Meijer between trips to accommodate customers.  

Route 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 17, 18, 22, X5, and X1B: The southbound Main and Franklin time point will be eliminated.
