RTA adjusts routes for Dayton Celtic Festival road closures

(DAYTON, OHIO)… The Greater Dayton RTA will adjust service to accommodate the road closures around RiverScape MetroPark associated with the Dayton Celtic Festival this weekend.

Monument Avenue will be closed between Jefferson Street and Patterson Boulevard, and St. Clair Street will be closed between Monument Avenue and First Street. Patterson Boulevard will be closed at Monument Avenue. Riverside Drive will be closed at E. Babbitt Street and White Allen Avenue. Jefferson Street will be closed between Second and Monument. Due to the closures, Routes 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22 and 43 will need to be rerouted beginning at 9 a.m. on July 27. The reroutes will end following the conclusion of the festival on July 30.

The following bus stops will be closed. Customers will need to use stops outside of these locations:

• Monument at Sears, ID #2281
• Monument at Riverside, ID #1168
• St Clair at First, ID #2282
• Riverside at River, ID #3293
• Riverside at Babbitt, ID #3436
• Riverside at Helena, ID #3294
• Patterson at First, ID #3292
• Jefferson at Second, ID #7021

A temporary bus stop will be set up along Route 16 at Helena Street between Main Street and Riverside Drive.
