RTA launching new trolley route, making other adjustments Aug. 31

(DAYTON, OHIO)… To better meet the needs of our customers and the communities we serve, the Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is launching a new trolley route and making changes to two existing routes on Aug. 31.
The new Route 3 will connect customers to grocery stores, medical facilities and entertainment options. It will use RTA’s NexGen electric trolleys and travel from the Eastown Transit Center in east Dayton through the downtown Dayton corridor and head northeast to Dayton Children’s Hospital. Major destinations along Route 3 include Ballpark Village, Dayton Children’s, the Oregon District, Kroger on Wayne Avenue, Belmont High School and the Eastown Shopping Center.
It will run seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a frequency of approximately 35 minutes.
