(DAYTON, OHIO)… The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is moving toward an improved service model that provides the same level of service seven days a week to meet the needs of customers, communities, and businesses beginning Sunday, August 14, 2022. In addition, the agency will be ending its promotional fare rates this fall.
The RTA is extending its service hours from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Sunday, beginning August 14. All routes, with the exception of Route 55, will operate on the same schedule seven days a week, with service start and end times varying by route.
The service changes are as follows:
RTA is also expanding its Connect On-Demand zones based on customer feedback. These changes will improve connectivity and expand access to RTA’s bus route network. RTA is combining Connect On-Demand zones 4 and 6 into one zone, and expanding portions of zones 1, 3, and 6. These changes will take effect with the agency’s other service changes on Aug. 14.

While fares will not be increasing, RTA will be ending its promotional rates it has been offering since April 2021 under its new fare system Tapp Pay, and return to regular rates effective September 5, 2022. That breakdown is as follows:
