(DAYTON, Ohio) — The Greater Dayton RTA will adjust services to accommodate the Wayne Avenue road closures for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
Wayne Avenue will be closed between Fifth and Bainbridge streets for the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the Dublin Pub restaurant.
The reroute will begin on Wednesday, March 16 at approximately 3 p.m. and last until the end of bus services on Thursday night/early Friday morning. Regular bus routing will resume at the beginning of the service day on Friday, March 18.
There will be no through traffic—northbound or southbound—on Wayne Avenue between Bainbridge and Fifth Streets. East and westbound Route 4 will deviate onto Fifth, Keowee, and Wayne to go around the closure. North and southbound Route 12 will deviate onto Washington, Warren, Buckeye, and Wayne to go around the closure.
St. Patrick’s Day partygoers who want to be safe and not worry about parking near the party can use the RTA as their designated driver and easily plan their trip to the festivities the Transit app.
