(DAYTON, OHIO) – The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will host two public hearings to gather community feedback and comments regarding proposed service changes.
The first public hearing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at the Dayton Metro Library Trotwood branch located at 855 E. Main St., Trotwood. The second public hearing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, at the Dayton Metro Library Kettering-Moraine branch located at 3496 Far Hills Ave., Dayton.
The agency is proposing the following changes:
Routes 6: Portions on the south end of the route will be adjusted.
Route 12: Portions on the north and south end will be adjusted.
Route X12: Added on the north end only. It will run the existing Route 12 from downtown to the Northwest Transit Center but bypass the Olive Road loop and the Main Street loop in Trotwood.
Route 17: Adjusted from Shroyer and Stroop roads to SR 725 and Far Hills Avenue. The change adds new service along Wilmington Pike between Stroop and Feedwire roads, and along Clyo Road. After 6:30 p.m., buses will bypass via I-675 a segment of the route from SR 725 and Far Hills Avenue to Wilmington Pike and I-675.
Route 28 and the North Connector: Being absorbed by current nearby routes.
